Reaching a maximum depth of 15 feet, the lake features one island and one small islet along its wooded shoreline and supports a diverse fishery of Walleye, Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Rock Bass, and Yellow Perch. The U.S. Forest Service manages the surrounding land, preserving the wild, undeveloped character that makes Lake Stella one of the Upper Peninsula's quiet natural gems.

Located in the southern reaches of Alger County amid the vast Hiawatha National Forest, Lake Stella sits in a remote landscape of northern hardwood and boreal forest, wetlands, and quiet forest roads southeast of Munising. The HD Maps are limited to Extra Large, XX Large, and Gigantic sizes only.
