Middle Spunk Lake is a 236-acre natural lake located within the city limits of Avon in central Stearns County, featuring exceptionally deep water reaching a maximum depth of 81 feet with an average depth of 28 feet and four miles of scenic shoreline. The lake has a large watershed dominated by row crops, forest, and pasture, creating a highly productive fishery managed primarily for Northern Pike with last surveys showing good fishing for Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, and large Smallmouth Bass. Anglers can expect to catch a wide variety of species including Walleye, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Yellow Perch, Pumpkinseed, Rock Bass, Bowfin, and multiple bullhead species including Black, Brown, and Yellow Bullhead. The lake features excellent water clarity with Secchi depth readings of 10.5 feet in late June and average summer clarity of 13 feet, while dissolved oxygen remains adequate to support fish down to 35 feet. Emergent and floating leaf vegetation including cattail, waterlily, and bulrush cover more than half the shoreline, with chara and coontail providing submerged vegetation that creates exceptional fish habitat. A city-owned public access on the northeast corner provides convenient boat launching, making the lake ideal for fishing, boating, water sports, kayaking, swimming at the city's public beach, and year-round ice fishing
Located within the charming city of Avon, situated 15 miles northwest of St. Cloud and 90 minutes from the Twin Cities, Middle Spunk Lake is part of a chain of seven lakes in the area including Big Spunk (Upper Spunk), Lower Spunk, and others that create exceptional fishing opportunities throughout the region. The City of Avon boasts one of the few public beaches in central Minnesota, located on Middle Spunk Lake and nearly connected to the famous 65-mile Lake Wobegon Trail that runs from Sauk Centre through Avon to St. Joseph, providing excellent hiking, biking, and snowmobiling opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts statewide. The HD Maps are limited to Extra Large, " XX Large, and Gigantic sizes only. On the smaller sizes the depth change of the wood is too extreme and you end up losing detail."

These are true 3D layered maps.

Yes, as an angler and map nerd, accuracy matters to me. I use multiple data sources, up to six, to find the most accurate lake contours available.
I would not hang an inaccurate map in my house and I will not send one to yours.
