Crawling Stone Lake is a pristine 1,483-acre natural lake on the renowned Fence Lake Chain in Vilas County, featuring exceptionally clear waters (15-foot visibility) reaching a maximum depth of 87 feet with an average depth of 31 feet and nine miles of scenic shoreline with beautiful sand beaches. The lake's bottom composition of 75 percent sand, 10 percent gravel, 10 percent muck, and 5 percent rock creates exceptional habitat structure with weed beds, drop-offs, islands, and underwater humps that hold trophy fish. This outstanding fishery supports excellent populations of Muskellunge, Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Yellow Perch, and various panfish species, with special Lac du Flambeau Chain bag limits applied to all ten connected lakes including Fence Lake, Flambeau Lake, Little Sand Lake, and others. The difference between standard and HD maps is the number of layers. Standard maps have 1 land layer and 7 water layers. " The HD lake maps have 1 land layer and 14 water layers. So twice the detail. The HD Maps are limited to Extra Large, " XX Large, and Gigantic sizes only. On the smaller sizes the depth change of the wood is too extreme and you end up losing detail.

These are true 3D layered maps.

Do you use real depth data?
Yes, as an angler and map nerd, accuracy matters to me. I use multiple data sources, up to six, to find the most accurate lake contours available.
I would not hang an inaccurate map in my house and I will not send one to yours.
