Lake Guntersville, Alabama's largest lake, spans an impressive 67,900 acres across Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb, and Marion Counties in the northeastern part of the state. Formed by the Guntersville Dam on the Tennessee River, it stretches 76 miles from Guntersville Dam to Nickajack Dam and boasts an extensive shoreline of 962 miles. This vast reservoir is a renowned destination for bass fishing, attracting anglers with its abundant aquatic vegetation and diverse fish populations, including largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish.
