Sand Point Lake is a 7,380-acre lake straddling St. Louis County, Minnesota and Ontario, Canada, reaching a maximum depth of 120 feet within Voyageurs National Park. The lake supports exceptional fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, Muskie, and Yellow Perch across its island-rich waters. Part of the international border lakes connecting Namakan and Crane Lakes, Sand Point is one of the most spectacular wilderness lakes in the Voyageurs system.
Sand Point Lake is located within Voyageurs National Park on the Minnesota-Ontario border, accessible only by boat from the communities of Crane Lake and Namakan Bay. The park's houseboat rental program provides a unique way to explore Sand Point's remote islands and hidden coves. The difference between standard and HD maps is the number of layers. Standard maps have 1 land layer and 7 water layers. "The HD lake maps have 1 land layer and 14 water layers. So twice the detail. The HD Maps are limited to Extra Large, "XX Large, and Gigantic sizes only. On the smaller sizes the depth change of the wood is too extreme and you end up losing detail.

Are these actually 3D or just engraved?
These are true 3D layered maps.

Each water layer uses a light to dark blue gradient so depth changes are easy to see.

Do you use real depth data?
Yes, as an angler and map nerd, accuracy matters to me. I use multiple data sources, up to six, to find the most accurate lake contours available.
I would not hang an inaccurate map in my house and I will not send one to yours.
