The Butler Chain of Lakes is a stunning series of 13 interconnected lakes covering more than 5,000 acres of crystal-clear water in Orange County, Florida, connected by 32 navigable canals and reaching depths up to 40 feet. Formed by ancient karst sinkholes in Florida's limestone bedrock, the chain holds some of the finest Largemouth Bass fishing in the country, consistently ranked among the top ten bass fisheries in the nation, alongside Black Crappie, Bluegill, and abundant wildlife including bald eagles, ospreys, and great blue herons nesting on the chain's protected Bird Island sanctuary.
Located in the communities of Windermere and Dr. Phillips just southwest of Orlando, the Butler Chain was the first lake system in Florida to receive the Outstanding Florida Waters designation from the Florida DEP in 1985. The chain is surrounded by world-class golf courses including Bay Hill, Isleworth, and Keene's Pointe, and has long been home to notable celebrities including Shaquille O'Neal, Tiger Woods, and Ken Griffey Jr. Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and all of Orlando's premier dining and entertainment are minutes away.

The difference between standard and HD maps is the number of layers. Standard maps have 1 land layer and 7 water layers. The HD lake maps have 1 land layer and 14 water layers. So twice the detail. The HD Maps are limited to Extra Large, XX Large, and Gigantic sizes only. On the smaller sizes the depth change of the wood is too extreme and you end up losing detail.

These are true 3D layered maps.

Each water layer uses a light to dark blue gradient so depth changes are easy to see.

Everything is made in my shop in Minnesota.

Do you use real depth data?
Yes, as an angler and map nerd, accuracy matters to me. I use multiple data sources, up to six, to find the most accurate lake contours available.
I would not hang an inaccurate map in my house and I will not send one to yours.
