North Twin Lake and South Twin Lake form a connected pair of clear, productive lakes just outside the city of Marble in Itasca County, Minnesota, covering a combined 418 acres with North Twin reaching 42 feet and South Twin 40 feet at their deepest points. North Twin spans 239 acres with 4 miles of shoreline while South Twin covers 179 acres with 3 miles of shoreline, with the two lakes connected by a navigable channel on North Twin's south side. Both lakes share a diverse and abundant fishery of Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Rock Bass, Pumpkinseed, Bowfin, and Yellow Perch, with North Twin also supporting cold-water species including Cisco (Tullibee) and several sensitive non-game species that signal high ecological health.
Located alongside the city of Marble in the Iron Range corridor of north-central Itasca County, the Twin Lakes sit among the former mining communities of Calumet and Taconite, where the region's rich iron ore heritage meets the natural beauty of Minnesota's boreal lake country. The difference between standard and HD maps is the number of layers. Standard maps have 1 land layer and 7 water layers. The HD lake maps have 1 land layer and 14 water layers. So twice the detail. The HD Maps are limited to Extra Large, XX Large, and Gigantic sizes only. On the smaller sizes the depth change of the wood is too extreme and you end up losing detail.

These are true 3D layered maps.

Do you use real depth data?
Yes, as an angler and map nerd, accuracy matters to me. I use multiple data sources, up to six, to find the most accurate lake contours available.
I would not hang an inaccurate map in my house and I will not send one to yours.
